In order for Santa Rosa County parents and employees to make safe and timely preparations for the arrival of Hurricane Michael, the Santa Rosa County School District would like to release the following information:
District schools will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 9-10.
All extracurricular activities will be cancelled for both days.
A decision on school operation for Thursday, October 11th will be announced on Wednesday.

-Friday, October 26: Report Cards
-Friday, October 26: Early Release for Homecoming Parade
-Wednesday, October 31: Early Release for Teacher Professional Development
The JHS School Advisory Council election has two candidates running for a parent position, Mr. Glenn Griffin and Dr. Natasha Walters. Voting will begin October 2nd and go through October 9th. Parents of students at JHS are eligible to vote. Please get a ballot in the front office during school hours.
Seniors, if you plan to attend college in the fall of 2019, you and your parents will need to complete the FAFSA. If your family needs assistance completing this, please schedule an appointment with Robin Giacin at PSC Milton Campus. Call 850-484-4455 to schedule an appointment. Opening date for completing the FASFA is October 1, 2018. You do not have to plan to attend PSC to schedule an appointment. Call today and schedule your appointment.
The PSAT will be given to all 10th graders on Wednesday, October 10th. Also, any 9th or 11th graders who would like to take it, may sign up in Guidance by Wednesday, September 5th. There is a fee of $16 for 9th and 11th graders only. Slots are limited, so sign up quickly. Slots will be filled on a first come first served basis. The PSAT is given to determine your student’s eligibility to take dual enrollment classes at PSC, UWF and some honors classes at Jay High School. Please make checks payable to Jay High School. Your student needs to see Mrs. Willis in the Guidance Office to register for the PSAT and pay the fee.
Parents, to view your student's grades and attendance, click on the ClassLink button above. Your student will login with their student number as the username and the password they use to login to the computers at school. Once in ClassLink, click on the student/parent portal to view your student's grades and attendance.
