JHS will be holding an election for a position on the School Advisory Council (SAC). If you would like to nominate a parent whose child currently attends JHS, please get a nomination form from the front desk. Nominations will be accepted Sept 19 – Sept 26. Voting will be announced once we have a ballot ready after nominations.
The SAC meets once quarterly at 8:30 in the school’s conference room. We will confirm with the nominated individuals if they desire to serve prior to the voting ballot being available.

Seniors, if you plan to attend college in the fall of 2019, you and your parents will need to complete the FAFSA. Juniors and Seniors, Interested in becoming a Teen Board of Directors for The Santa Rosa Kid's House?
Members will gain knowledge of the functionality of the Santa Rosa Kid's House and the social science field. Members will assist in community outreach programs throughout the one-year term. Possible scholarship opportunities awarded. Eligibility will be determined based on student's application by staff of Santa Rosa Kid's House. See guidance for applications.
Healthy Schools is providing no-cost flu shots to Santa Rosa County students. This year the shots will be given on Thursday, September 20 from 10:15-11:15 AM at JHS. You will need to complete a vaccine consent form for each student that you wish to receive this vaccine. These forms can be picked-up in the front office and need to be turned in to the front office no later than Tuesday, September 4. You can also register online at stop.santarosaflu.com.
The PSAT will be given to all 10th graders on Wednesday, October 10th. Also, any 9th or 11th graders who would like to take it, may sign up in Guidance by Wednesday, September 5th. There is a fee of $16 for 9th and 11th graders only. Slots are limited, so sign up quickly. Slots will be filled on a first come first served basis. The PSAT is given to determine your student’s eligibility to take dual enrollment classes at PSC, UWF and some honors classes at Jay High School. Please make checks payable to Jay High School. Your student needs to see Mrs. Willis in the Guidance Office to register for the PSAT and pay the fee.

Your student will login with their student number as the username and the password they use to login to the computers at school. Once in ClassLink, click on the student/parent portal to view your student's grades and attendance.
